John Maronto, the football coach at Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, FL, was arrested on Saturday night for soliciting a prostitute.
Police officers went undercover Saturday night as part of a setup to stop prostitution in the beachside area, according to Orlando TV news station CF13.
According to Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood, there is video evidence of the coach talking to an undercover office and offering $50 for sex.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — A University of Wyoming football player was killed and three teammates were injured when a pickup drifted off a Colorado highway and crashed on Monday, authorities said.
Ruben Narcisse, 19, of Miami was killed, the Colorado State Patrol said.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A football player has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for slamming a referee in the face with his helmet at the end of an unruly semiprofessional game in upstate New York.
Running back Leon Woods had pleaded guilty to first-degree assault. He apologized Friday for seriously injuring veteran referee Peter McCabe Jr. at Edgerton Park in Rochester last October.

A 21-year-old woman died Wednesday after getting hit by a team soccer bus in San Paulo, according to Reuters. The Brazilian club, Corinthian, was celebrating its 100th birthday.
Officials said the woman, identified as Amanda Ferraz Geremias, slipped by the bus’ back wheel as it passed by the 100,000 fans who attended, the AP reports.
“This was a very big tragedy,” club president Andres Sanchez said on the team’s official website.
